Camping at Pedernales Falls and Hiking at Enchanted Rock

Daddy'o carries Jason 1/2 mile down a trail after discovering he had gotten some small stickers in his foot. Jason got to go to the ranger station so Momma could get some tweezers to get the stickers out.

So after our last campout with the boys and sleeping with their feet in our faces (they wiggle a lot) we bought a new larger tent with room dividers so the boys could sleep on their own and also so we had headroom to stand up straight. It is a 10 man tent-very roomy and nice.

Jason is becoming quite the pro at roasting marshmellows over a camp fire.

Daniel and Daddy'o snuggle as Daniel calms down from the days fun activities to go to bed in the tent.

A wild fuzzy man also known as Daddy'o smiles for the camera.

Danny works on learning to drink from a straw while hanging out on the waters edge at Pedernales Falls. The river was our salvation from the days high heat.

Jason saw some big kids jumping off the rock on the tree swing and really wanted to do it too. He couldn't actually reach the swing let alone hold his floaty while swinging so Dad just threw him off the rock into the water while mom spotted him in the river.

Jennifer and the boys swim in the Pedernales River.

Daniel cools off from the heat of hiking (mom carrying him) at Enchanted Rock.

Jennifer and the boys follow daddy while he takes pictures for his Adventuresome article. To see more landscape and nature photos and read about the parks see the tab at the top of the blog page and follow the link to Adventuresome.

Daniel plays in the car while we were parked in the shade taking a break with the A/C on. Hey, even Texans get hot once in a while.

A true cutie!

Jason naps in the car with dramatic lighting falling across his face and some creative aperture control by James.
